The South African Air Force Museum Training Flying for March presented one of my favourite aircraft going through its paces. The De Havilland Vampire was my favourite aircaft whilst growing up, living in close proximity to the air base.
We were fortunate to have access to the Eastern side of the runway with the wind allowing for takeoff South to North, allowing us to get pretty close.
Here are some of the images shot of the aircraft and some of my fellow club members.
