African Wild Dog

The African Wild Dog is one of the most vicious and relentless predators. They generally hunt in packs and literally tear their prey apart alive and leave very little for the vultures.
This species is endangered and red listed.
Wild dog generally make excellent and dramatic subjects for photographers. I share some of the images I have shot of these colourful dogs.

One of my oldest friends Selwyn turned 60 on the 4th August. The family came to my studio for a birthday shoot. We had great fun.

My wife and I were on a leisurely afternoon drive in the park when a Lion in the main enclosure decided to try and make a meal of the front wheel of the vehicle in front of us. These pictures tell the story of what happened. Some of these images were published in the Getaway Magazine.

Yesterday's Studio Shoot was in honour of young Landon's 1st birthday. He brought sister Isabell and Dad and Mom with him.
I photographed Dad Marcel in the mid 70's and now his son.
I also had the privilege of shooting Grandparents Ernest and Marie's wedding, in the early 70's and also had the opportunity to photograph young Landon's Great Grandparents on a few family occasions.
Four generations of this family captured  with my camera!!!!
