This "Walkabout" as our outings are called, focussed :) on families of the photographers joining us on an excursion to the Friends of the Rail, a steam locomotive preservation Society. You can visit their website on www.friendsoftherail.com to find out more.

Friends of the Rail, a set on Flickr.
Since early childhood I have had a fascination with steam locomotives and have keenly taken up any opportunity to ride on and of course to photograph these garnd old machines. I share on this page some of these images.
I thank Friends of the Rail for making this possible.
Friends of the Rail "FOTR" is a non profit preservation society which not only preserves and maintains vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock, but also arranges family and corporate outings on these gracious old machines.
